Tēnā koutou katoa!
Para Kore has a vision for all marae to be working towards zero waste by 2025.
Para Kore delivers education and training on marae to create behaviour change that aligns with the principles of a circular economy by eliminating waste in the planning process, sorting waste so that as little as possible goes to landfill and educating whānau about how to reduce plastic and recycling. As a Māori organisation, Para Kore is grounded in relationships with and whakapapa to Papatūānuku, Ranginui me ō rāua uri.
The Para Kore programme is designed to support marae, kōhanga reo, kura and community organisations to reduce waste. If you would like to be part of this zero waste kaupapa, please contact us by phone, text or email. The Para Kore team can give a presentation to your marae committee, provide waste advisors to work with your marae, deliver Para Kore wānanga to your whānau and help your marae set-up recycling and composting systems.
