Why Attend? Be inspired to move towards closed loops systems, which aren't reliant on the on-going extraction of natural resources. Para Kore or Zero Waste is a philosophy, a programme and a Māori organisation with a kaupapa based on whakapapa to Papatūānuku. Each year we hold our hui ā-tau, our annual conference, which attracts marae whānau, kura, kōhanga reo, whakahaere Māori, council staff, individuals and families who are interested in caring and living lightly on Papatūānuku. This year it is being held at Ōrongomai Marae focusing on regeneration, closed loop economies and designing out waste. Esteemed speakers, hands on workshops, and field trips will all provide inspiration, understandings and skills about how to grow Para Kore into your lifestyle. Please register HERE.

Join us now and together through education we'll learn how to create less waste, more jobs, more resources and a healthier world for us all! Our hui is open to everyone: individuals, whānau, marae, hapū, iwi, councils, and all peoples - Māori and non-Māori. Nau mai, haere mai!
